Since I last wrote, it has been a whirlwind adventure. A combination of pure joy and terror.
After posting my last blog, I received an email from a generous and beautiful soul, A lady who read about me in the The Australian newspaper in February 2013 and donated toward my trip to Mexico. It was already so overwhelming at that time to see the generosity of complete strangers. I had never felt so humbled.
February 11th, 2013, was the very first day I started on my healing adventure. At this time, I thought I would get myself nice and familiar with raw veganism and then after three weeks at the Gerson clinic in Mexico I would be chained to my juicer watching my health improve on a daily basis.

When I underwent treatment in 2006/2007 and 2010/2011, I was told what to do every step of the way. I was told how much treatment I would have, when I would have treatment and I underwent regular testing. If things weren’t going as planned, the plans changed for me and all I was required to do was follow them.
Eight years ago today I noticed the first symptoms of Hodgkin’s Disease. Eight years ago – oh my. How time has flown. As I reflect on the journey I have had since then, I revisited my ‘book’ that I started writing when I was 21 years old and thought I would share with you a small excerpt.
More than anything, it has reminded me that I know my body best.
With summer here there is an abundance of pawpaw. Unfortunately I find the taste of the fruit quite unpalatable, but it has such incredible health benefits that it has had to be a huge part of my journey, and I won’t ever go without it.
